Although I already had a web site, Business Promotion said they would create a new website to help increase my web presence and therefore generate more traffic into my office. Based on my request, they created a web site that was identical to my existing site, using my existing domain name.
However, they didn't make any further recommendations or suggestions in terms of content to help improve my website and optimize organic searches. At the launch of my web page, there were many errors; grammatical, spelling, and content (such as buttons overlapping text, photos not positioned in the right place with corresponding text). When trying to make corrections i had to email them and it often took days to either hear back or get implemented. They also said they would post blogs on my web site, which was fine at the start with regular blog posts, then there was a period of 2-3 months where it stopped.
I had to email them to ask what was going on. They were also posting things on my Facebook page, but when Facebook changed their algorithms and rules for posting, BP stopped posting. Without being proactive, they never contacted me to let me know that this was a problem and what they were going to do to correct it. They also did not backlink my FB posts to my web site.
So after paying $5k for a web site and $999 a month for service (amounting to about $17k total), i'm still not finding my web site at the top of organic searches.
I contacted Dr. Genius instead. As a certified Google partner, they went through and explained all the shortcoming of my web site and gave recommendations on how they can beat Google's algorithms. They significantly increased the text content of my web site incorporating multiple key words, underlined and made bold these key words.
Increased the number of pages, optimized back linking of my FB posts.
This for only $350 a month. If am paying BP $999 a month i'd expect them to be more proactive in beating the Goolge algorithms to improve my organic searches and SEO.
